Music production, recording and mixing.
What I Do
Hi, my name is Roberto and I am a recording engineer and music producer.
I firmly believe that each music production has to be authentic to the personality and the genre of its creator or creators.
These values of authenticity, individuality and personality guide my work, whether you need me for just recording, mixing, or a full-scale production.
Works
Here’s a few examples of my latest works!
Golden by Hannigan
(Recording Engineer)
Hannigan is a contemporary folk singer-songwriter based in Kent. I was involved in the recording of his last EP. We recorded the four songs over four intense and emotionally rich days. The result is up to you to judge, but certainly for me was one of the most fulfilling recording I ran.

Maiden, Mother, Crone by Daisy Chute (Recording Engineer)
Daisy is a great singer/songwriter that just recently released her new EP on which I had the honour to be involved as Recording Engineer. We recorded the backbone of each song of the EP in the course of three days at Grand Chapel Studios, with producer Annaliese Shaw.

Tiocfaidh an Samhradh / Summer Will Come Live by Brona McVittie
(Recording Engineer, co-mixing engineer)
Brona is a Northern Irish singer songwriter who got me involved in live-recordings of two of her songs. Live-recording with video presents its own set of challanges especially in terms of instrument placement. In this case I was very happy with the sound we managed to achieve at the Studio.

My Approach
As a listener, I always appreciated artists that are authentic to themselves, and I have a special admiration for people that are able to cross multiple styles, defying cliches and pushing forward a specific musical context or genre: integrating electronic to blues? You have my attention, Psychedelic effects in a Swing Jazz EP? Say no more.
All of these examples can have a precarious outcome: it is either extremely effective or an absolute disaster. I believe that to achieve the first of the two outcomes the best is to develop a strong background that is informed by research and feels spontaneous by the players involved in the record.
Hence my preference is to undergo a production that enhances creativity, freedom of expression and commitment to uniqueness. In each session, I focus onto create a comfortable and stimulating environment throughout all the stages of creating a record, making sure that all the people involved in the production feel completely free to express their ideas and creativity.
Throughout my academic path, I focused on integrating the approaches learned through my studies in Design into music production. In particular, Bruno Munari’s Design Methodology inspired me to develop an organic method to produce tracks that emphasise the originality and the unique identity that each artist I work with portrays in its music.
The aim of this methodology is to create a key set of musical and non-musical characteristics to be integrated into your music, that better represents your uniqueness, in order to create a final product that is authentic, original and fresh.
